Margie is a qualified counsellor, mediator and educator with a wide experience working in the social service and education sector. Margie has a particular interest in assisting individuals, staff and family/whanau who have experienced trauma associated with major life events and working with them to manage the effects of the trauma which inevitably has a huge impact on well being and mental health.

Previously Margie was the Service Manager at Family Works Northern (Whangarei) where she managed a team of counsellors and social workers. Before that she was the Manager/Programme leader of Foundation Studies, English as a Second Language and Adult Education, as well as having a stint as a lecturer in the Social Services degree. Prior to that Margie was a Family Group Coordinator and Supervisor with Child Youth and Family
