Fenella Devlin

FDR Mediation |Preparation for Mediation | Voice of the Child | General Mediation | Family Law Mediation

Fenella has practiced as a lawyer for 29 years in the Family Court and has considerable experience as Lawyer for Child, appointed by the Family Court to represent children. She is also appointed as Counsel for subject person to represent vulnerable adults in the Family Court.

Fenella believes that Mediation provides a wonderful forum for people to explore alternative dispute resolution to issues that they face. She has studied mediation practice overseas and has been an Assessor for the NZ Law Society participants in their mediation training programme.

Fenella sees the cornerstones of mediation as respect for the people involved and exploring practical solutions and options for resolution. Achieving your own resolution is empowering, and Fenella feels it is a privilege to assist as a Mediator in this process.
